When Halloween season comes around, the first thought that comes to mind is, what makeup look can be spooky, yet glamours?
A skull face, duh.
Since I love Halloween and creating dark and dramatic makeup looks, I’ve put together this step-by-step guide on how to create a quick and easy version of a glam skull face.
Using the Kitten Palette, apply the shade “strut” into the crease as a transition trade.
Use the shade “cheshire” under the transition shade and add it all over the lid. Cut the crease using the Peeper Perfect Under Eye Concealer with a flat concealer brush.
Using the Kitten Palette, apply the shade “9 lives” to the entire eyelid, and lower lash line, then apply your liner using the Liquid Feliner.
Using the Kitten Palette, apply the shade “chesire” to create the illusion of hollow eyes, by creating a line starting from the start of the brows down to the start of your nose—shade and blend.
Create an outline of hollower cheeks by using the same shade. Then slowly apply the shadow and blend. Do the same with the sides of your forehead and draw out the skull nose.
Go in with the shade “boots” to use as a shadowing color on the edges this will help to create the illusion of a hollow face.
Use Peeper Perfect in a lighter shade than your skin tone to stipple onto your lips and mouth area.
Using the Liquid Feliner, draw out the skull teeth and extend your mouth line on the sides. Then apply the shade “boots” to create shadows in between the teeth.
Lastly, highlight parts of your face where you would usually highlight using Strobing Balm in the shade “bubbles”.
And that’s it. Remember the key is to blend, blend, and blend some more, and don’t be afraid to play with light and dark shades to create highlights and shadows.
Happy Halloween, Winky Boos.
